Bigadic Museum was esteblished for the Turkish State Liquor and Tobacco Monopoly after 1942 Bigadic earthquake.  At that period as called as Sharp-Effective-Architectural Building, it had been changed to Museum with the close coordination between Bigadic Municipal and Environmental & Cultural Values Save Foundation, with the fonds of Bigadic Municipal and Istanbul Monuments Department supports.

Provincial Governers team presented the collections for museum by searching the local area village by village. 

You may find at the museum:

a)"Kuvay-i Milliye Department", which has special importance within "Kuvay-i Milliye" in Bigadic-Balikesir,

b)"Arkeological Department"; which has archaic ruins for Ancyra 18 km far from Bigadic,

c)"Ethnography Department"; Latest 200-300 year time period life values.

There is also multipurpose 96 m2 90 person gathering, seminar, painting, art and exhibition hall. Opening of the museum had been done by Balikesir Governor and President of Environmental & Cultural Values Save Foundation at 1 December 2001.
